Ringing the changes
Spring is here and there's been lots happening at the Ring of Bells, so we thought it was time for a quick update...
Ben Turnbull-Crowe, who joined us earlier in the year, has been appointed as our new manager and is enjoying settling into his new role. Ben takes over from Karen Kitshoff who, after being with us for a year, has decided to rejoin the White Hart in Moretonhampstead.
Tony Carr who has worked for our small group of pubs for the last two years (including cooking at the Ring of Bells for holiday and day-off cover) has now been appointed head chef on a permanent basis and is already receiving very positive feedback.
Tony and his team are busy in the kitchen and, while familiar favourites will still feature, the menu will be changing on a regular basis. Tony is responding to your feedback and a few subtle changes are afoot –mushy peas with the fish and chips for a start!
We are including a few British ‘pub classics’ on the lunch menu – fish pie has already been served and sold out very quickly, along with ham, egg and chips. While these dishes will not always be on, if there is something you fancy – please ask and we will see what we can do.
If there’s a dish that you would like to see featured, please let us know and the team will do their best to include it from time to time.
Our wonderful new coffee machine has arrived so we can now serve latte, cappuccinos and the like – every day from 10.00am.
