A fun way to support an invaluable service

The collection tin for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust in the Ring of Bells is the charity's single most successful tin!

While we obviously attract some very generous customers, we also think it's got a lot to do with our clever conundrum game.

Chalked up on the beam in the main bar is a series of 12 capital letters and visitors seem unable to resist trying to work out what they mean. A helpful local is always willing to explain and this results in a donation of at least 50p to this invaluable rescue service.

"The AIr Ambulance often remark on how many notes, rather than just coins, are in our tin and that's why we manage to raise so much," says joint-owner Steve Bellman. "We support this fantastic service whenever we can and are delighted our customers are happy to support it too."

Curious? The make sure you check out the conundrum on your next visit!
